Deputy PM, oil firms to mull oil taxes, market regulation on Tue
MOSCOW, Mar 25 (PRIME) -- Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak and executives of Russian oil companies will meet on Tuesday to discuss adjustments to the oil tax maneuver, prolongation of an agreement on stabilization of domestic fuel prices, and licensing of oil exports, Kozak’s spokesman Ilya Dzhus told reporters on Monday.
“On March 26, Kozak will hold a meeting with the heads of oil companies to discuss export licensing and adjustments of some parameters of the tax maneuver in the oil industry. At the meeting, they will also discuss prolongation of the government’s agreement with vertically integrated oil companies (on fuel prices) and parameters of the agreement,” he said.
Last week the government suggested adjustments to the reverse excise mechanism of the tax maneuver, including amendments to the cut-off price of gasoline and diesel fuel, and introduction of soft licensing of exports of oil and oil products. The suggestions also included prolongation of the fuel price deal for April–June until the reverse excise is introduced.
